Florida Gators Football Without Tim Tebow

By | July 16, 2010

For the Florida Gators football team, the departure of Tim Tebow means that a new era will be ushered into Gainesville, Fla.

Tebow, who now plays for the Denver Broncos, takes with him one of the most popular and demanded legacies in the history of collegiate memorabilia.

Stepping in for the Gators will be a fresh, young group led by new redshirt junior quarterback John Brantley who has watched from the sidelines for three years waiting for this opportunity. Thanks to tremendous recruiting, the Gators should only experience a drop-off in experience, not talent, after losing several key players to the NFL.

The new group brings a new feeling to Gainesville and a sure market for a whole new future round of Florida Gators autographs. The opportunity to make an impact in college football is short and intense. The next couple of years will decide whether these players will one day grace NCAA collectibles or go down as just another player that attended the University of Florida.

Very good points Bryan. In fact the Tim Tebow Broncos jersey is currently number 1 in sales. In my experience I have found that collegiate memorabilia from a popular athlete has still been sought after in the pros. For the first couple of years anyway ;)
