Stephen Strasburg Sets K Record In 3rd Major League Start

By | June 19, 2010

Stephen Strasburg’s professional career is only three games old, yet he is already the talk of Major League Baseball.

That tends to happen when those three games result in two victories in three games and a combined 32 strikeouts, which is a Major League Baseball Record. At this rate, Stephen Strasburg memorabilia could become one of the hottest buys in baseball as the season progresses.

The 21-year-old has now dominated three professional lineups with his overpowering fastball and a menacing curve that is as good as anything that baseball has seen in years.

While Strasburg may be drawing as much individual attention as anything else, his star power could feed over to increased popularity of other Washington Nationals autographs. Surprisingly competitive so far this season, the Nationals feature several well-known veteran names like Ivan Rodriguez, Ryan Zimmerman and Adam Dunn. Autographed bats are always a high-demand option for players like these.

But it will certainly be Stephen Strasburg who gets the most attention as he makes a rock star-style tour around the majors this season. Stadiums all over will be anticipating the electricity that a Strasburg pitched game brings.
